    Frequently asked questions

    Is PlainResume really free?

Yes — including the download. No paywall appears after you’ve typed in your whole resume, which is unfortunately the standard trick in this category.

    Is the PDF ATS-friendly?

Yes. The layout is a single column with standard section headings and real selectable text (not an image), which is what applicant tracking systems parse most reliably.

    Where is my resume stored?

In your browser’s local storage, on your device. Your resume never leaves your computer.

Do you collect any data about me?

Anonymous counters only — page views and button-click tallies (for example, how many people download a PDF). No cookies, no identifiers, and never your resume content: the resume itself stays in your browser.

How do I download my resume as a PDF?

Click “Download PDF / Print” and choose “Save as PDF”. The editor is hidden automatically — only the resume itself is in the file.
